FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Yes. If you don’t already have a passport, please contact the proper agency for the country of your passport. U.S. citizens can renew or apply for a passport online hereor find a local Post Office that provides passport serviceshere. U.S. passports typically take about six weeks to process. Passports are needed for all trips outside of the U.S.
Every team member is responsible for covering their trip cost. Each trip has a payment schedule that divides the trip cost across 4-5 scheduled payments. The team members can pay for their trip using the payment schedule or pay the trip in full. All payments are completed online with a major credit card. Also, team members are provided with a donation link to help with their fundraising. Only approved team members will receive additional payment details.
The minimum age depends on the trip. Please refer to the trip description for age requirements.
Most of your fundraising will be done individually. However, if you are approved, team members will receive tips on how to fundraise for their trip. There are many many ways to fundraise, such as sending out support letters or cutting back on unnecessary expenses, just to name a few.
Yes. All approved team members are required to attend the scheduled team trainings. Training will cover subjects such as how to evangelize in another culture, what to pack for your trip, team building, prayer, ministry activities and more.
No. You should have a heart for the mission (particular need/people groups) you are going to serve. However, some of our trips are more intense and are better suited for participants with previous experience. The Living Water trips are great for first-timers.
The trip cost covers airfare, visas, housing expenses, ground transportation, travel insurance and all meals at the location. The trip cost does not cover money for souvenirs or meals during travel to/from the location.
The type of work will depend on the mission trip you select. We are fortunate to offer a variety of trips that provide different ways to serve. Please see the mission trips listed above to learn about the ministry activities for each trip.
