about Champions Club

Champions Club is the special needs ministry of Lakewood Church, specialized in ministering to kids, teens, and adults with special needs and the medically fragile.

WHAT IS CHAMPIONS CLUB?

Champions Club meets the developmental needs of individuals with special needs in four important ways: SPIRITUALLY, INTELLECTUALLY, EMOTIONALLY and PHYSICALLY. Our focus is on spiritual growth through God’s Word, developing the intellect of each participant through the five senses, educationally through various learning tools and engaging the child physically during active motor fun.

There are over 90 Champions Clubs in schools, churches and facilities all and around the world.

Special needs Weekend

Lakewood’s Champions Club hosts an annual resource and job fair. This year, in partnership with Workforce Solutions, a virtual job fair was available from Friday, September 24th–Sunday, September 26th, 2021. Families and caregivers of children, teens, and adults with special needs got the opportunity to meet potential employers and to connect with local resources that can provide a variety of services.
