What comes to mind when someone asks you, “Who do you consider to be a great leader?” When you look in this world there are greater than life, charismatic personalities such as sports athletes, musicians, movie actors, and business CEOs, who the world considers to be “great leaders.”
But greatness has little to do with how popular you are, the position that you hold, or the power that you have. Greatness is about serving. The greatest Leader who ever walked on this earth, Jesus, said, “But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant.” (Matthew 23:11) In other words, He is saying that to be great in this world, you must serve others. Well, you may be asking what or how do I serve others? There are gifts and talents that God has placed on the inside of each of you, and the purpose of those gifts and talents are to be used to serve others.
In the LifeGroup Ministry, we are focusing on defining our gifts and talents through finding our strengths. You must first take the time to find out what your God-given strengths are and then begin investing in those strengths through serving. We have a group of great leaders who are serving with their gifts and talents weekly. Come be a part of something great through serving others! Consider becoming a LifeGroup leader at Lakewood Church.
If you would like to learn more, come to the Discover LifeGroups session the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm in room 3025 (3rd Floor).
