Take Hold of His Strength

Have you ever felt as though you didn't have the strength to overcome a challenge you're facing? Or perhaps you feel that the task at hand is way beyond your abilities, and you're wondering why you're even trying to do it. You may have put in for a job promotion, but you're unsure whether you'll be able to handle it.
I want to encourage you today that God says, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9 NKJV). That means that whatever you're facing today, God has all the strength you need for it. He's saying, "My grace is sufficient for today. Everything you need is here today."
We get into trouble, though, when we try to work on tomorrow's grace. We say, "But what about tomorrow, God," and He says, "Don't worry about tomorrow. Just work on today. I have tomorrow handled." Looking ahead, we start to question ourselves and let doubts and fears creep in. Maybe I'm not good enough or smart enough. Maybe I don't have what it takes. And that leads us down the unhappy road to mediocrity.
God has already equipped you to do whatever He's calling you to do. He's put abilities in you that you didn't know were there. Don't shrink back and think you don't have the talent—it's already there. Take hold of God's grace, and His strength will empower you in your weakness. You have to say, "God, it's You and me. When I'm weak, You're strong. We're a majority. We can do this together!" Take this step of faith and do it!
