Own Your Story

A big part of owning our story is taking away the grip of shame. When you share your story with someone else, it will no longer have any hold on you. It allows healing to come.
There is power in allowing ourselves to be vulnerable. To become authentic, we have to take the masks off and show the real us. For many reasons, people try to protect themselves by pretending to be someone else. They pretend to have it all together, to be perfect. But none of us are perfect. Only Jesus is!
I've watched time and time again as people become authentic and own their story, their mess becomes their message. Their test becomes their testimony. They move from being the victim to being the victor.
When you own your story and share your testimony, people are impacted for the better. They will know that they aren't the only one to experience heartache and pain. If God did it for you, he can do it for them. Your testimony is not for you, it's for someone else. The first step to own your story and the second step is to share it for the glory of God.
Don't miss the Men's Gathering this Wednesday, June 7th as we explore how to own and share your testimony!
